Every January Minnesota rental property owners and managers need to provide their residents with a certificate of rent paid.
Each adult in the rental unit needs to receive one form that shows their portion of the rent. If you have one or two rental units, then this form is an easy task to get done. If you have dozens or hundreds of rental units then it can become a cumbersome burden.
Thankfully the MN Department of Revenue has put together a way to upload information for all of your rental units in one spreadsheet which can drastically reduce the time it takes to complete.
